Hi, I am Dr. Jia Wu, Research Scientist at the Yale Child Study Center, and the Lead Data Scientist for the Developmental Electrophysiological Laboratory, using Machine Learning to investigate brain patterns and classifiers for psychopathology including Anxiety, Depression, Autism, ADHD, OCD, Obesity etc.

I have been working in the field of developmental electrophysiology for 17 years. From 2002 to 2007, I worked as a graduate student with Dr. Dennis L. Molfese in University of Louisville, KY, on infant brains and children dyslexia. Immediately after graduation, I started my research career at the Child Study Center in Yale University, School of Medicine. From 2007 to 2019, I have published over 30 papers on various topics relating to children and adolescents’ self regulation and brain development.

Among all the regulatory behaviors, I am particularly interested in eating habits and behaviors. I’m studying how eating habits and behaviors can be reflected on the mind and body, and how they can relate to obesity, eating disorder and diabetes.

In 2019 I am busy engaged in the Adolescent Eating behavior project and research in other aspects of self-regulation. Details see here.
